It was just a typical day doing typical things with my pals Fatty Cakes
and the Puff Pastries hanging around at the sacred Studio Itz! Tired of
the status quo, Fresnan, Amber Fargano founded the Church of Fatty Cakes
in 2010 dazzling spaces with a beautiful voice, chord organ and
glockenspiel! As time progressed Amber asked dear friends Victoria Crow
and Staci Mcdowell to be back up dancers "witch" bagan the trio of Fatty
Cakes and the Puff Pastries! With all the fun they were having, Fargano
aquired past band mates from Strawberry Jam, Vishinna Crowsmith and
Audrey Johnson to join in on the party!
We had a great time laughing about stories that occured on their recent South, East mini tour. From the magic of puppets, the haunting of a ghost cat and the Hott Dust that consumes us all! We explored the evolution of a theme that started off as fat liberation and body positivity and how over the years its grown to be a table for all that need a place to be thier authentic selves and to be heard and seen under a system of oppression.
