I sat down with Tomas Galvan from Fresno's dream pop outfit Eighteen Hundreds. It was a beautiful Friday afternoon shooting the breeze and sharing some laughs above in his practice studio that sits above a barber shop.
Growing up in Madera, Tomas discovered the drums through the church he attended as a kid and picked up guitar from a family friend. It was when he heard a Bob Dylan record as a young child that started his curiosity into the life that is songwriting.
On this episode we take a closer look at what the name Eighteen Hundreds means to Galvan. We discuss the different approaches to songwriting and how sometimes collaboration is key and what is the name of the punk band playing below during our interview!
